NEWS (19.11.2024) – Updated data on donors and lenders of political parties, published by Transparency International Slovakia, reveal that 2023, an election year, saw a record increase of private resources into politics. Two donors even surpassed the previously most generous one, retiree Rudolf Trávniček, who famously delivered €238,000 in a plastic bag to HZDS back in 2007.
All the details about party donors and lenders from 2002 to 2023, as well as the amounts of state contributions, are available on the portal volby.transparency.sk. The platform has been monitoring not only political financing but also the transparency of election campaigns since 2019.
